Here I am!

I just graduated as a Bachelor of Marketing. I work for an affiliate marketing agency and enjoy working on a few other projects as well. I see the internet as a medium to share thoughts, and that is exactly what I will do on this blog. So here I am, Marjolein van der Kolk!

And...

Besides being a work-a-holic, I am an human being as well. One who likes to cook, to travel, to speak other languages, to read. The usual stuff ;). Want to know more? Check my CV or contact page.

About

Me enjoying Barcelona

Marjolein van der Kolk, F, 1987, born in Velsen, Dutch (however I prefer to say being European).

View Marjolein van der Kolk's profile on LinkedInI have been studying for a Bachelor degree in Marketing over the last 4 years. And during the summer of 2008 I got graduated.

During my studies I went to Berlin and Barcelona to find some extra challenges. I spent a year in Berlin, half a year on the Fachhochschule für Wirtschaft (School of economics) and half a year in the Bloomstreet office for my intership. My interests for internet, web 2.0 and social networks started to grow. Once I was back in the Netherlands I wanted to extend my knowledge in online marketing and started to work for an affiliate marketing agency. During the last part of my study I had to write a thesis which I wrote about website usability and SEO for an online travel agengy in Barcelona.

Besides my interests in online marketing I like; learning foreign languages, webdesign, rollerblading, foreign cultures, good food, music, art and many many many more stuff.

In the future I would like to visit every country in the world. For the near future I am thinking about doing a master study in communication or new media, however I did not find the perfect study yet…

About this blog.

This blog, yeah. I do not have a clear direction for this blog yet, I just want to share my thoughts with the rest of the world. I will cover mainly topics about Internet Marketing and my experiences in foreign countries. If you are especially interested in my experiences in Barcelona, you could take a look at my other blog (in Dutch).
